Milliyet - Bosch Turkey, the Turkish arm of German engineering and industry giant Bosch, plans to invest EUR 300 million, while creating employment for some 1,700 people. The company’s turnover has grown beyond expectations, hitting EUR 2 billion with a 17 percent increase, as stated by Bosch Turkey’s General Manager Steven Young in an assessment meeting in Istanbul.
Strong performance during the last year led Bosch Turkey to expand its workforce to 1,200 people. The company has invested over EUR 200 million in facility upgrades during 2011 and plans to invest EUR 300 million more in 2012-2013 period, said the General Manager.
The company plans to invest in the production of fuel injection systems in its Bursa plant in northwestern Turkey. The common rail injector producing factory in Bursa also serves as a research and development center for Bosch Global’s automotive division. The company employs over 10,000 people in its facilities in Turkey.
