WB approves Türkiye loan for electricity sector

Haber Turk - The World Bank has approved a loan of USD 800 million to help Türkiye meet its electricity demand, said the bank. The loan is part of a World Bank development policy program in the electricity sector and is aimed at helping Türkiye supply electricity to keep pace with the robust growth in the country’s demand. Türkiye has recently renewed its national electricity strategy and the country's electricity sector has been undergoing a number of extensive reforms.
