WB approves Turkey loan for electricity sector

Haber Turk - The World Bank has approved a loan of USD 800 million to help Turkey meet its electricity demand, said the bank. The loan is part of a World Bank development policy program in the electricity sector and is aimed at helping Turkey supply electricity to keep pace with the robust growth in the country’s demand. Turkey has recently renewed its national electricity strategy and the country's electricity sector has been undergoing a number of extensive reforms.
