Turkish minister’s India visit heralds USD 1 billion business deals

Aksam - Türkiye’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Zafer Caglayan, has concluded a fruitful visit to India, one of the key emerging powers of Asia. Accompanied by businessmen from various sectors, the minister’s delegation held talks with India’s leading international companies including Tata, Essar and Polyplex about investing in Türkiye’s energy, mining and airport building/management sectors.

“Around 250 business meetings with 75 Indian companies were conducted during the Türkiye-India Business Forum,” said Caglayan about his visit. “USD 1 billion worth of deals were reached between Turkish companies, Sogutsen, Seramik STFA, Alsim-Alarko, and a wooden materials supplier and their Indian peers,” the Minister told reporters.
