Turkish-Russian steel JV to create employment for 2,000 people

Dunya – The Turkish-Russian flat steel JV, which is being constructed in the Gulf of Iskenderun, is expected to be completed and reach full capacity production next year. Recep Atakas, Chairman of Atakas Group of Companies, said the facilities, the construction of which started with the partnership of Magnitogorsk Iron-Steel Works (MMK), Russia’s largest iron and steel producer, will create an added-value worth USD 1.7 billion. The steel mill will create job opportunities for more than 2,000 people.
