Moody’s upgrades Turkish banking system’s outlook

Aksam - International credit rating agency Moody’s has upgraded the Turkish banking system’s outlook to “stable” from “stable-to-negative”.

The change to stable in the country’s banking system’s outlook is to reflect the improved capital and liquidity position and increasing asset quality, as indicated in a statement made by Moody’s. According to the statement, the banks' net profits and net interest margins will remain healthy and the strong growth of the Turkish economy will also mean an increase in banking activities, bolstering the profitability.
