R-Pharm goes ahead with Türkiye biotech investment

Sabah – Russian pharmaceutical company R-Pharm is going ahead with the projected EUR 100 million investment in Türkiye. R-Pharm’s investment involves a biotechnology manufacturing plant in Türkiye to supply both the domestic and regional markets.

The plant will initially cost EUR 30 million to build and is expected to enter production by late 2017, according to R-Pharm CEO, Vasily Ignatyev. “R-Pharm will invest EUR 100 million in its Turkish business by 2018”, he noted.

The company established an Istanbul-based subsidiary, TR-Pharm, in 2013 aimed at marketing products in Türkiye, the Middle East and North Africa.
