Sakarya province to have three hydroelectric power plants

Dunya – Zafer Caglayan, Turkish State Minister for Foreign Trade, said the government expects to boost Türkiye's bilateral trade volume with Libya to USD 10 billion in the mid-term. Speaking to reporters after visiting Libyan Public Affairs Minister Mohammed Matuk, Caglayan stressed that friendship ties between Türkiye and Libya should lead to the further improvement of bilateral trade relations. Caglayan said Türkiye's trade with Libya has been rising steadily despite the global economic crisis and underlined that Türkiye has seen a 50 percent increase in its exports to Libya. "We will soon boost our trade volume with Libya to USD 10 billion" he predicted. For his part, Matuk said they discussed creating new employment opportunities and increasing the business potential between the two countries. "We are satisfied with the level of our cooperation with Türkiye, and these strong ties will continue to be enhanced" he added. Matuk also attended a meeting of the “Türkiye-Libya Joint Economic Commission” in Ankara.
