Speaking after the signing ceremony, Yildiz said Arab natural gas is an important part of Türkiye's energy policies. Yildiz said they plan to conclude the construction of the pipeline within 18 months, indicating that Egypt's natural gas could be shipped to Europe via Türkiye after completion of the pipeline. The Syrian minister said Türkiye and Syria intend to explore oil jointly and noted that talks are underway to establish a joint company.
