Turkish bank Yapi Kredi gets EIB loan for clean energy projects

Cumhuriyet - Turkish bank Yapi Kredi has secured a EUR 200 million loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to be used for clean energy and energy efficiency projects.

The 15-year loan is the longest term EIB loan given to a private Turkish bank.

Türkiye is increasingly turning to renewable sources to meet the growing demand for energy, as the country’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) recently approved 16 wind energy projects, worth USD 2.5 billion.
