Türkiye and India set to start construction sector partnership

Dunya - A top official from the Turkish-Indian Business Council said this week that Türkiye and India will start a remarkable partnership in the construction sector in the coming months. Erdal Alkis, Vice Chairman of the Turkish-Indian Business Council under the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), told a group of Indian businessmen in Istanbul that by the year-end, the two countries will sign separate construction sector deals worth USD 1 billion and USD 7 billion. Alkis said the agreements will kick start a remarkable bilateral partnership. Alkis also emphasized that the council works to improve commercial, cultural and social ties between Türkiye and India. "Our goal for the next five years is to bring 500,000 Indian tourists to Türkiye, to reach a trade volume of USD 30 billion", Alkis said.
