Russian hotel investments reach USD 2.5 billion

Milliyet – Russian investors have started to construct hotels in Antalya on the back of Russian tourists’ increasing interest in the region. Mardan Palace, recently opened with the attendance of Hollywood stars, is not the sole tourism investment of the Russian businessmen. Russian businessmen made hotel investments in the past and newly permitted investments are on the way. Mihail Prohorov, one of the world’s richest men, who ranked the first in Russian billionaires list last year, will construct a seven-star hotel in Cesme district of the Aegean province of Izmir, according to reports.
