Star - Japanese electronics producer Sony is targeting an 85 percent growth in consumer electronics by the end of the year. Sony Eurasia’s Director General Mohsen Noohi states Turkey’s growing economy as one of the main reasons for setting such a high target. “We aim to double our sales in Turkey over the next three years, reaching EUR 1 billion worth of retail sales by 2013,” said Noohi.
Noohi said he is actively working to promote Turkey on a personal level, saying, “I personally visited Japan to lobby on Turkey’s account and asked Japanese companies to invest in Turkey”.
Sony Eurasia’s Director General also added that the increase in Turkey’s foreign trade would be beneficial for the country’s industry and the economy as a whole.
