Alstom Transport focuses on high-speed train in Türkiye

Hurriyet - Alstom Transport, the flagship company of France’s Alstom with operations in the fields of rolling stock, infrastructure and information systems in more than 60 countries all over the world including Türkiye, generated a turnover of EUR 5.2 billion last year. Arda Inanc, General Manager of Alstom Transport Türkiye, said they are closely monitoring high-speed train projects in Türkiye.

 

Arda Inanc said the company has a total of 24,700 employees globally, that they have grown continuously in all the sectors they operate in since their entry into Türkiye in 1950s and that they use their Turkish facilities as a production and exports hub. “Alstom Transport Türkiye is working for sustainable growth. The number of our employees in Türkiye hit 1,200, while we posted USD 407 million of turnover last year,” he added.

 

Giving information about the company’s projects, Alstom Transport Project Director Jean Noel Duquesnoy stated that they are eyeing tram, metro, high-speed train and signaling projects in Türkiye and that they take into consideration criteria such as market demand and cost structure when taking decisions on production.
