Florentia Village Opens in Istanbul with EUR 250 Million Investment

Florentia Village, Türkiye's first luxury designer outlet developed to international standards, opened with a gala ceremony in Istanbul. The ceremony brought together Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, Turkish Grand National Assembly's Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information, and Technology Commission Chair Mustafa Varank, and Turkish Grand National Assembly's Defence Commission Chair Hulusi Akar, alongside business leaders and prominent figures from the worlds of arts, sports, and entertainment. The project, a partnership between Kalyon Construction and Italy-based RDM Fingen Group, was realised through a EUR 250 million investment.

The first phase covers 65,000 square metres of leasable space, with 190 stores alongside gastronomy and social areas. Located just five minutes from Istanbul Airport, Florentia Village is connected to central Istanbul by metro in approximately 25 minutes. The destination brings together global luxury brands, offering both premium outlet and full-price retail, while a second phase will bring the total leasable area to 110,000 square metres.

Kalyon Holding Chairman Cemal Kalyoncu referred to Florentia Village as a cornerstone of the company's Airport City vision, noting that the project brought EUR 180 million in international capital into Türkiye. He expressed confidence that the investment will generate meaningful momentum for the country's service exports, employment, and broader FDI attraction.

RDM Italia CEO Jacopo Mazzei described Istanbul as a world city with extraordinary energy and potential, noting that the project combines Florence's heritage and design approach with Istanbul's distinctive character. He added that the long-term ambition is for Florentia Village to become one of Istanbul's foremost destinations for local and international visitors.

The project targets more than 15 million annual visitors and aims to provide direct employment for over 5,000 people. With international visitors projected to account for more than 40 percent of total footfall over the medium term, Florentia Village reinforces Türkiye's position as the nexus of investment and value chains at the crossroads of Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
