Investment and Finance Office continued its global “20 Years of Excellence" campaign with a high-level investment reception in Seoul, hosted in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Seoul and the World Knowledge Forum (WKF).
Bringing together investors, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and public officials from Türkiye and the Republic of Korea, the reception highlighted the growing economic partnership between the two countries and Türkiye's position as a resilient and competitive investment destination amid ongoing global uncertainty.
Earlier in the day, Investment and Finance Office President A. Burak Dağlıoğlu addressed the WKF Türkiye Panel, emphasizing Türkiye's strong economic performance and investment momentum. He noted that Türkiye became Europe's 4th most-invested destination in 2025 and introduced the new incentive framework, Powerhouse for Investments in the Türkiye Century, featuring manufacturing tax incentives, Istanbul Financial Center advantages, and the Office's One-Stop-Shop support model for international investors.
Opening the reception, Dağlıoğlu stated that the Office's 20th anniversary also reflects the broader success of Türkiye's economic transformation. “Over the past two decades, Türkiye has built a dynamic investment ecosystem, and we invite South Korean companies to grow together with Türkiye under our new incentive package," he said.
Türkiye's Ambassador to Korea Salih Murat Tamer underlined that the bilateral relationship has evolved beyond trade into long-term cooperation in investment, manufacturing, and technology, adding that the strong foundation of trust between the two countries creates significant opportunities for future partnerships.
Korea International Trade Association (KITA) Chairman Jin-sik Yoon highlighted the steady growth in bilateral trade since the Korea–Türkiye Free Trade Agreement entered into force, reaching a record USD 10.7 billion, and called for deeper cooperation in strategic sectors, including electric vehicles, batteries, biotechnology, and advanced technologies.
Maeil Business CEO Wi Jung-hwan described the reception as a meaningful occasion celebrating the 20th anniversary of Investment and Finance Office and the longstanding friendship between Korea and Türkiye, with the two countries set to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2027.
Since its establishment in 2006, Investment and Finance Office has expanded its global investor network through customized, country-specific strategies and today operates with specialized sector teams and 26 country consultants across 14 countries. In 2025, Türkiye attracted USD 13.1 billion in foreign direct investment, demonstrating its continued strength as one of the world's leading investment destinations.
