The Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Investment Office held a webinar for the Italian business community on May 20 to share information on what economic measures Türkiye has taken and what Türkiye could offer to its Italian counterparts in the face of COVID-19 outbreak.
At the webinar entitled 'How does Türkiye Support Italian Business Community During COVID-19?', Furkan Karayaka, Head of the Investment Office's Overseas Activities Department, addressed the Italian delegation. Karayaka touched upon the measures being taken against the outbreak that has affected over 5 million people globally to date as well as on the economic policies of the Turkish government to support the business community in the time of the pandemic.
In addition to Ambassador of Türkiye to Italy Murat Salim Esenli, representatives from various Italian companies operating in Türkiye and officials from the Investment Office spoke during the webinar. More than 80 people attended the program as audience.
