Brazilian Petrobras and Turkish TPAO to explore for oil in the Black Sea

AA - Turkish and Brazilian companies will start exploring for oil in the Black Sea, said the director of the Brazilian company on Monday. Hercules Tadeu F. Da Silva, the director general of Petrobras Türkiye, said their company and the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) will start exploration efforts to locate oil reserves in a region in the Black Sea, named Sinop block. The project will begin at the end of February and its daily cost will be around USD 1 million, said Da Silva during his meeting with Governor Hasan Basri Guzeloglu of the northern Anatolian province of Samsun.
