President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the opening ceremony of ASELSAN Konya Weapon Systems Factory on November 26.
Addressing the audience President Erdoğan said “Our factory is a facility, which adds outstanding features to Türkiye's defense industry with its weapon production of every diameter and caliber, particularly remote controlled weapon systems. With the commissioning of this facility, Konya elevated its weapon manufacturing capabilities which started off with shotguns and took off to the level of a global player. In so doing, Konya has unlocked new potential for itself and our entire country."
Established with an investment of TRY 470 million and with the goal of strengthening the strategy aimed at meeting the Turkish Armed Forces' production and product development needs with domestic resources, ASELSAN Konya Weapon Systems Factory employs 286 personnel.
