Türkiye, South Korea Sign Technology MoU

​​A Memorandum of Understanding between the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, along with Teknopark Istanbul, and South Korean Born2Global Centre was signed to promote mutual investment opportunities between the two countries and lay the groundwork for cooperation in innovation and high technology initiatives.

President of the Investment Office A. Burak Dağlıoğlu and Teknopark Istanbul General Manager Bilal Topçu represented the Turkish side during the signing ceremony while Jong Kap Kim, CEO of Born2Global Center, attended on behalf of the Republic of South Korea.

“Today, as the representatives of the two countries in the eastern and westernmost tips of Asia, we believe that our entrepreneurial ecosystems will be strengthened with a win-win policy", declared Burak Daglioğlu. “This cooperation will usher in a new era. As the Presidential Investment Office, we are aware of the importance of technology entrepreneurship and are determined to attract international direct investments in this field. We invite South Korean funds and initiatives led by Born2Global to open up to global markets together with Turkish stakeholders led by Teknopark Istanbul," added Daglioğlu.

For his part, Born2Global CEO, Jong Kap Kim, announced, “This MoU will form the basis of cooperation between technology companies in South Korea and Türkiye, paving the way for potential technology partnerships, joint ventures and joint investment opportunities. We will continue to collaborate with the Investment Office and Teknopark Istanbul, as well as other important ecosystem organizations in Türkiye."
