New oil reserves found in Diyarbakir

Sabah – During the drilling works performed at 1,800 meters of depth, the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) has discovered an oil reserve in Tasdam village/Egil district in Diyarbakir province. The gravity of the newly found petroleum is 26, whereas the reserves are estimated to be 16 million barrels. The reserve discovered during the joint drilling works carried out with French Perenco is of great importance since it is the largest reserve ever discovered in Türkiye and bears the possibility to reach larger reserves.
