Bank of China to open branch in Türkiye

Milliyet - China’s state-owned lender, Bank of China (BOC) is set to open an office in Türkiye, according to Türkiye’s Minister of State and Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan. Speaking at the Turkish-Chinese Business Forum in Istanbul, Babacan stated that BOC has been granted the license to open an office in Türkiye, based on an agreement signed earlier. “A Turkish bank will open a branch in China, according to the same deal,” said Babacan at the forum organized by the Turkish-Chinese Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TUCSIAD).

Emphasizing Türkiye’s increasingly multi-faceted relations with China, Babacan said that Türkiye aims to improve the comprehensive cooperation with the Asian country based on a long-term strategic partnership perspective.
