Turkish Daily News - Türkiye was the recipient of the majority of awards given by the European Foundation for Quality Management, or EFQM this year. The 2008 EFQM Excellence Award Winners were announced Tuesday, Oct. 28 in Paris under the glass pyramid at the Musée du Louvre. The EFQM Excellence Awards recognize organizations with indisputably progressive track records and results in both financial and non-financial performances. The award, given to Europe's best performing companies and not-for-profit organizations, is Europe's most prestigious award for organizational excellence. The Robert Bosch Bursa Diesels Systems Plant is now a two-time winner of the EFQM Excellence Award. Bursagaz, the biggest private gas distribution company in Türkiye, won the EFQM Excellence Award in the category of small and medium scope, private industry.
