Invest News DetailThe New Anatolian - Peter Voets, Marketing Director of Easyjet, a British airline company which offers low-cost flights to many destinations in the world, said that nearly 162,000 passengers travelled through Easyjet's Istanbul-London and Istanbul-Basel flights departing from Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen Airport in 2007. Easyjet expected this figure to rise up to 200,000 in 2008, said Voets. He said Easyjet was satisfied with its operations in the Turkish market as Turkish people appreciated the company's low-cost flights. Voets also said there were regular flights from Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen Airport to London's Luton Airport six days a week and they conducted flights from Istanbul to the Swiss city of Basel four days a week. He said the cheapest ticket for such flights was 27 EUR, including all taxes.
