Nabucco support agreements to be signed between partners-transit countries

Dunya - The Nabucco Pipeline Project continues to progress towards realization, as a series of project support agreements between partner companies and transit countries are to be signed today in the Turkish province of Kayseri to supplement the intergovernmental accords inked earlier.

The support agreements between the relevant ministries of transit countries (Türkiye, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Austria) and the Vienna-based Nabucco International Company, equally controlled by the project partners; BOTAS from Türkiye, Bulgargaz from Bulgaria, Transgaz from Romania, MOL from Hungary, OMV from Austria and RWE from Germany, are regarded as the next step towards the implementation of the EUR 8 billion project, slated to enter construction phase in 2013. Planned to carry Caspian gas to European markets, the majority of the 3,200 km pipeline will pass through Türkiye.
