Mayr-Melnhof Karton buys stake in Turkish firm

Bloomberg - Mayr-Melnhof Karton, an Austrian maker of boxes for products such as Kellogg's Corn Flakes, said it bought a 60% stake in a Turkish folding carton maker, as it expands its production in the growing local market. Superpack, located in Izmir in western Türkiye, employs 120 people and handles 8,000 tons of cartons a year, the Vienna-based company said in an OTS newswire statement. Mayr-Melnhof didn't say how much it paid for the company.
