In an interview with Star daily, Marsili stated, “A person only needs to spend 48 hours in Türkiye to understand that the historic prejudices in Europe are baseless.” He added, “Europe does not have the luxury of giving up Türkiye. Even Türkiye’s candidacy has contributed a lot to the Union. The EU needs Türkiye more than Türkiye needs it.”
