Samsun – Ceyhan pipeline to carry Kazakh oil

Star – The construction of Samsun-Ceyhan crude oil pipeline, which is to be built by Tapco, a consortium between the Italian energy company Eni and Turkish Calik Energy, is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2010. The pipeline will transfer oil not only from Caspian fields, but also from Eni’s fields in Kashagan and Karachaganak in Kazakhstan. All the engineering works for the USD 4 billion pipeline will be financed by Eni.
