Turkish Enerjisa launches EUR 700 million financing

Reuters - Turkish energy company Enerjisa has launched syndication of a EUR 700 million (USD 973 million) debt package via coordinating mandated lead arrangers IFC, UniCredit Bank and WestLB, the lenders announced.

The syndication is part of a EUR 1 billion financing package for Enerjisa -- jointly owned by Sabanci Holding and Verbund -- to fund the second phase of the company's investment program, the banks said in a statement on Tuesday.

The financing will be used to develop a 1,045 MW power generation portfolio comprising the Bandirma II Combined Cycle Gas Turbine plant, the Dogancay Hydroelectric Power Plant, the Yamanli II Hydroelectric Power Plant and the Dagpazari wind farm.
