RWE, Gaz de France may bid for Turkish gas distribution company

Bloomberg - RWE AG and Gaz de France SA are among more than 20 foreign and Turkish companies that may bid for Türkiye's natural-gas distribution company in Ankara next month, Vatan newspaper reported. Baskent Dogal Gaz AS could fetch as much as $3 billion and OAO Gazprom and Gas Natural SDG SA have also received prospectuses, Vatan said. It also said unidentified U.S., Dutch, British and Persian Gulf countries were interested. Koc Holding AS and Calik Group, Turkerler Group, Tekfen Holding AS, Aksa, Palmet, Nurol and Limak are the local companies that may bid for the grid, which has 1.1 million customers, Vatan said.
