Türkiye keen to remove obstacles to energy investments

Bloomberg - Türkiye will build hydropower stations with a combined capacity of 16,500 megawatts within the next five years, Environment Minister Veysel Eroglu said. The generators will be built by non-government companies at a total cost of about $25 billion and will play a key role in ensuring Türkiye's energy security, Eroglu told. Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan said the government is determined to remove the obstacles for investment by local and international companies in Türkiye's energy industry.
