FDI into Türkiye up 22 percent in first seven months

Foreign direct investment (FDI) into Türkiye went up by 22 percent during the first seven months of 2015, reaching USD 9.7 billion, over the same period of last year.


In July alone, USD 3.4 billion has been channeled into Türkiye, the main recipient sector being financial services with over USD 2.1 billion, according to data from the country’s Central Bank.


Türkiye ranked 22nd in the world in foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2014, attracting around USD 12.5 billion.
