Türkiye to join Financial Stability Forum

AA - Türkiye is set to join as a member to the Financial Stability Forum, Mehmet Simsek, the Turkish State Minister for the Treasury said. "Türkiye will become a member of the Financial Stability Forum in a bid to actively contribute to efforts for the stability and the development of the global financial system", Simsek told reporters on Sunday upon his arrival in Türkiye from a meeting of the Group of Twenty (G-20) finance ministers and central bank governors in London. The Financial Stability Forum is a group consisting of major national financial authorities such as finance ministries, central bankers, and international financial bodies. The Forum was founded in 1999 to promote international financial stability.
