On a visit to Türkiye to discuss joint business opportunities with Turkish firms and assess the country’s investment environment, a delegation of Japanese businesspeople was briefed by the Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Türkiye (ISPAT).
Organized by the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Japanese business mission to Türkiye comprises Japan’s leading SMEs from a variety of sectors including machinery, textiles, recycling & waste processing, communications, IT, iron-steel and optical devices.
The delegation of 35 businesspeople was presented with the investment opportunities in Türkiye by ISPAT staff in Istanbul and given in-depth information on doing business in the country. ISPAT also has a representative office in Tokyo and is ready to assist Japanese investors in their ventures into Türkiye.
Türkiye and Japan have agreed to start talks on a free trade agreement during Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to the Far Eastern country in January. There are around 200 Japanese companies active in Türkiye.
