Swiss company investing in Türkiye’s call center sector

Sabah – Switzerland’s Logic Versicherungstreuhand has announced plans to invest in a call center complex in Türkiye’s southeastern city of Diyarbakir. Creating at least 200 jobs, the investment in the call center sector is an important contributor to the region both in terms of employment and revenue generation.

Having run feasibility studies in the city for over 2 years, the company finalized its decision to invest in Diyarbakir during a visit to the Karacadag Regional Development Agency.

“Logic Versicherungstreuhand has decided to invest in Diyarbakir due to the city’s existing experience in hosting an advanced call center industry complete with universities and vocational schools.”, the company CEO, Ahmet Kasikci said.

The company will employ German-speaking locals to run a customer support call center for its clients in the insurance sector in Switzerland.

Türkiye’s call center industry will be employing some 80,000 people by the end of 2013 up from 67,000 as of the end of 2012, according to a report by the Call Centers Association of Türkiye. Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, best supported regions in the country’s investment incentive scheme, currently host nearly half of the 1,000 call centers in operation in Türkiye.
