Invest News DetailHurriyet Daily News – Mehmet Simsek, the Turkish Finance Minister, who is currently on an official visit to China, has called on Chinese investment funds and companies to take part in major projects in Türkiye. The Turkish delegation accompanying Simsek during his visit has invited Chinese investors to participate in build-operate-transfer projects planned in Türkiye, such as the Canakkale Strait passage, North Marmara and Ankara-Izmir highway construction, Bursa-Osmaneli high-speed train project and the construction of high-speed train stations and yacht marinas. During talks with representatives of China's leading investment companies and funds, Simsek affirmed that Türkiye is the right choice for Chinese investors. As part of Simsek's talks in China, major Chinese companies such as automotive giant Dong Feng Motor (DFM), solar energy producer Yingli Solar Energy and leading telecommunications company Huawei Telecommunications expressed their intention to invest in Türkiye. "More Chinese investors will come to Türkiye in the upcoming years. There are many areas for collaboration. We would like to establish close cooperation, especially in the energy and infrastructure sectors", Simsek told reporters after his meetings with Chinese business contacts.
