Türkiye to gain access to South America via Chile

Dunya - Having signed its 55th Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Türkiye, Chile now holds a strategic position for Türkiye to expand into South America with a population of 500 million people. While 15 Turkish companies have already made business deals worth around USD 53 million, many others are about to finalize their deals. Chile has a robust demand particularly for furniture and glass products. Another area of interest for Chile is second-hand textile goods. Therefore, it is possible to export second-hand textile products to Chile. Chilean companies, which are willing to expand into the Central Asian market via Türkiye, are also seeking investment opportunities in Türkiye.
