Hyundai's Turkish factory aims to lift output by 10,000 cars

Bloomberg - Hyundai Motor Co., South Korea's biggest carmaker, aims to make 100,000 vehicles at its Turkish factory this year, up from 90,000 last year. The Seoul-based company exported 70,000 cars from Türkiye last year. Hyundai started making the Matrix minivan at its plant in Kocaeli, northwest Türkiye last year, and also manufactures the Accent model there. The Korean carmaker may start producing a new model in Türkiye after 2010, said Kurthan Tarakcioglu, chief executive of the Turkish unit.
