Iranian car maker Khodro considers joint manufacturing with Türkiye

Hurriyet Daily News - Khodro, an Iranian carmaker, plans to manufacture automobiles in Türkiye in a “free zone” to be established on the border between the two countries, according to Abdolazim Saedian, export manager of Khodro.

Speaking about Khodro’s automobile manufacturing plan in Türkiye, which will be specifically tailored to meet the needs of the Developing Eight or D-8 countries’ markets, Saedian said, “Khodro is ready to do everything necessary for the creation of a joint automobile manufacturing project.”

Cooperation between Türkiye and Khodro dates back nearly 20 years, Türkiye being a supply base for auto spares and related parts for the Iranian company.
