Spanish daily: Türkiye to embark on massive energy investments

Yeni Safak - Spanish business newspaper Expansion has published a news article about Türkiye’s energy and infrastructure projects. “Türkiye is about to undertake a massive modernization program, worth more than USD 150 billion,” said the article, also touching upon the country’s EU accession process and Turkish-EU relations.

“Türkiye’s large population, increasing income and strategic location altogether make Türkiye more attractive than ever in the eyes of Europe,” read the article. Providing an OECD forecast for 2011-2017, the newspaper highlighted the fact that Türkiye is expected to top the OECD charts with 6.7 percent of GDP growth.

“Turkish-Spanish trade volume has reached EUR 7 billion and Spanish investments in Türkiye amount to EUR 3 billion, with 370 Spanish companies active in the country,” Yasemen Korukcu, ISPAT’s representative in Spain, reportedly said. “The number of Spanish companies in Türkiye is set to increase, as the country offers many opportunities,” added Korukcu, inviting Spanish companies to take advantage of Türkiye’s investment potential.
