US public TV promotes Türkiye’s Cappadocia

AA- US public TV channel PBS aired a show promoting Cappadocia, a natural wonder in central Türkiye. Host and producer Darly Newman of "Equitrekking", a prime-time PBS show exploring the world on horseback, running for five years and reaching an audience of 65 million, presented horse riding opportunities in the region and beautiful horses of Cappadocia - which roughly means “the land of beautiful horses” in the Hittite language. Newman also took viewers to underground cities in Cappadocia and praised Turkish hospitality, presenting pottery and weaving shops in the region. The Office of Turkish Tourism attaché in New York said in a statement that the show advertised Türkiye for 30 minutes which was worth around USD 3 million. According to the statement, Equitrekking teams were also hosted in Istanbul and Fethiye, a resort town on the Aegean coast. Equitrekking plans to broadcast another episode on Fethiye and Istanbul in the coming weeks.
