South Korean Hyundai prefers Türkiye for i20 production

Hurriyet – South Korean carmaker Hyundai, which had been trying to make a decision between Türkiye and the Czech Republic for the production of its i20 model, has chosen Türkiye. This decision was taken on the back of Türkiye’s success in achieving the largest share in Hyundai sales globally during the first seven months of the year despite the global crisis. Manufacturing activities for the Matrix model will end in Hyundai’s Izmit plant by the year’s end, while the i20 model will enter into production along with the existing Accent.
