Invest News DetailHurriyet Daily News - FTSE Group, the London-based global index provider, has announced the results of its 2010 Country Classification Annual Review, which is carried out every September. The review places Türkiye, the Czech Republic and Malaysia ahead of their peers, promoting them to "advanced emerging" status, up from "secondary emerging" status. The review classifies markets as developed, advanced emerging and secondary emerging, within the FTSE Global Equity Index series. "Global markets are constantly changing and more countries are opening their markets to international investment", said Mark Makepeace, FTSE Group CEO. "Congratulations to the Czech Republic, Malaysia and Türkiye on being promoted to advanced emerging market status, following significant changes to their regulations and investment procedures.”
