Invest News DetailHurriyet – Mehmet Hamdi Yildirim, General Manager of Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources - General Directorate of Mining Affairs, stated important steps have been taken in every field of mining in recent years and that a total of USD 5 billion has been invested in this sector between 2003-2008. Yildirim added, “With an additional employment of 620,000 after 2002, the number of employees in the sector has increased to 1 million”.
