Invest News DetailAA - The Turkish Locomotive and Engine Industry Corporation (TULOMSAS) signed on Tuesday a strategic partnership agreement with General Electric in Ankara. With this agreement, TULOMSAS will manufacture high technology locomotives and export them overseas. TULOMSAS is located in the central Anatolian province of Eskisehir. It began operations as a small workshop in 1894 working on maintenance and repairs. It is an affiliated company of the Turkish Railways. TULOMSAS manufactures 60 locomotives, 10 railway maintenance cars, 500 freight cars, 100 various type diesel engines, 100 alternators, 400 traction motors and 2,500 mt of steel and iron castings annually. TULOMSAS employs around 2,000 distinguished personnel.
