Carrefoursa plans to open 100 additional stores

 

Sabah - Carrefoursa Supermarkets General Manager Guillaume Deruyter has announced plans to open 100 additional express stores and at least four more hypermarkets in Türkiye.

 

Providing employment opportunities for 7,500 people in stores scattered throughout the country, Carrefoursa is now planning to open an additional 100 stores in the upcoming year. During the opening of the chain’s 162nd store located in Mersin’s Mezitli town, Carrefoursa Supermarkets General Manager Guillaume Deruyter said, “In 2010, we plan to offer further employment opportunities with 100 new express stores and four new hypermarkets.” Deruyter stated that during last year alone, 54 new express stores and four hypermarkets were opened, bringing the total number of stores to 192.

Noting that the cost to open each store is around TRY 1 million, Deruyter stressed that over 32 million customers pass through their checkout registers every year.
