AA - French oil company Total is preparing to invest USD 100 million in Türkiye. Total Oil Türkiye's Director General Olivier Chalvon-Demersay said Total has raised its market share to seven percent in Türkiye, despite the global economic crisis in 2009.
Expressing the importance Total attaches to Türkiye, Chalvon-Demersay said Total’s investments reached USD 100 million in 2009 and that the company will continue to invest in 2010. Chalvon-Demersay stated that Total will provide employment opportunities for some 1,000 people with the planned investments.
Noting that Türkiye has successfully overcome the global economic crisis, Total Türkiye’s Director also underlined that his company has confidence in the Turkish economy.
