On June 16 the Young Executives and Businessmen Association (GYIAD) held a webinar entitled “Türkiye in the Perspective of Foreign Direct Investments”. Investment Office President Burak Dağlıoğlu was featured as a speaker during the webinar.
Dağlıoğlu firstly gave the attendees an outlook on the establishment, structure, and mission of the Investment Office. “As the Investment Office, we primarily support technology-intensive, high-value-added, and employment-generating investments that will enable technology transfer and reduce the current deficit and dependency on import. We follow up and streamline the investment related processes,” he said.
The audience was also briefed on how the Investment Office establishes sector-based strategies. Dağlıoğlu pointed out, “It is important that our strategy in the area of foreign direct investment (FDI) is in line with both our development plan and our industrial strategy. In order to support FDI more effectively, we will create actions to ensure more efficient inter-institutional coordination in this field.”
