Leading contact service provider acquires Turkish company

Turk Internet - The world’s leading contact center services provider Teleperformance has acquired a majority stake in Metis, a Turkish call center company. The announcement of the acquisition of a 75 percent share has made Teleperformance the largest global name to establish operations in Türkiye’s growing call center industry.

In a statement Metis and Teleperformance announced that Teleperformance has acquired a 75 percent stake in Metis to become part of Türkiye’s growing call center industry, thus increasing service quality and offering world-class CRM services. With an annual turnover of EUR 1.8 billion, Teleperformance has 267 call centers with more than 100,000 employees dealing with over 1.5 billion calls per year. Metis employs around 900 people and carries out its operations in three call centers, two in Istanbul and one in Usak. Teleperformance and Metis officials have expressed their gratitude to the Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Türkiye (ISPAT) for its contributions to the agreement. ISPAT’s contribution to this investment related specifically to the decision-making process, the arrangement of the meetings required for the realization of the investment and the establishment of links between relevant government officials and certain institutions.
