Türkiye closed 2020 with a total export volume of USD 169.5 billion.
Minister of Trade Ruhsar Pekcan made announcements regarding Türkiye’s exports at the “Foreign Trade Assessment Meeting of 2020” on January 5, where she said, “Türkiye’s export volume in December 2020 reached USD 17,844 million with a 16 percent rise in comparison to the same month of the last year. This is the highest monthly export volume of all times. I congratulate our exporters warranting such a record in such a tough year as 2020. It is a solid proof of Türkiye’s strength and dynamism in foreign trade,” Minister Pekcan emphasized.
Türkiye planted its flag in 209 countries and regions in December, whereas the number of countries and regions that Türkiye made exports to was recorded to be 226 in 2020. Also, Türkiye’s exports to 39 countries exceeded USD 1 billion in 2020.
